Due to a vacancy effective August 1st, the South Hero School Board is accepting letters of interest for appointment to the position of Interim School Director. This Interim position will continue until March 2027. At that election voters will select a School Board Director to serve the final year of the current three year term ending in March 2028.
Our five member board sets the direction, budget proposal and provides oversight for the K-8 education at Folsom School and the resources for our students to attend high school and career/tech programs on the mainland. The Board works closely with the Superintendent, who is the chief administrator in charge of managing school district operations and developing the annual budget with the Board for voter approval in March.

All letters must be received by 10:00 a.m., MONDAY, AUGUST 10, 2026.
All letters of interest received will be reviewed during the School Board’s regular monthly meeting on Thursday, August 13, at 6:00 p.m. in the school library in the Folsom Education and Community Center. Applicants are welcome, but not required, to attend the meeting in person or virtually to introduce themselves and read their letters publicly. A link to the meeting will be published in the agenda.
